Writing...

We can spell, construct paragraphs and put the apostrophe in the correct place. That’s important, but it’s not good writing. Good writing, we’d suggest, is the expression of clear thinking.

Clear thinking is hard work and can take a long time. It may involve staring into space, chewing desktop items and brewing lots of coffee. It often involves conversations which include phrases like: but is that what you really mean? Or, it depends on your assumptions; or, what do you want to happen next?;  or, I think there’s an inherent contradiction here.

We spend a lot of time clarifying our thinking, and we like to include our clients in this process as much as they can bear. That way, when we finally get the words onto paper, they’re exactly the right ones.

We’ve been employed and self-employed. We understand and respect budgets. We’re scrupulous about detail but we don’t lose sight of the Big Picture. We expect to work to demanding deadlines for clients who have other things to be getting on with, and we will work hard to earn your trust and confidence.
